Watch: Chris Pratt Predicted He Was Going to Star in 'Jurassic World'
After exploding at the box office this weekend in Guardians of the Galaxy, not to mention leading the voice cast of The LEGO Movie earlier this year, you can bet Chris Pratt is going to be a huge star. He'll only get bigger with a lead role in Jurassic World next summer, but it sounds like Pratt might have already known that. A video from a behind-the-scenes featurette from the second season of "Parks & Recreation" back in 2010 shows Pratt hamming it in his dressing room, shooting himself in a mirror, looking all scuffled and dirty for a scene. And then he gets a text message, and he pretends it's from Steven Spielberg. Watch!
Here's the snippet of video of Chris Pratt predicting the future from Morning After:
The fact that Pratt immediately reference a sequel to Jurassic Park just goes to show you that it's probably one of his favorite films, but this is made all the more awesome by the fact that he ended up getting a lead role in what is essentially Jurassic Park 4. Considering how long ago this was, this is undoubtedly a joke, and not in any way a reference to the real role Pratt ended up getting, but it's just one of those weird things that turned out to be true. Or maybe Chris Pratt is some kind of awesome new Nostradamus. Cool?

Maybe Spielberg is such a huge fan of Park and Recreation that he bought the DVD and watched the special behind the scenes features....

I kind of miss pudgy Pratt. He is still great, but the pudgy Pratt was somehow more relatable, therefore more funny.

Here's my guess. Chris Pratt didn't predict the future even by coincidental fluke. What happened was: 1. Spielberg knew Pratt is a fan of Jurassic Park either offhand or this video got to him. 2. Spielberg got a sneak preview of Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy earlier this year or late last year. Hence Chris Pratt got hired.

Makes sense. Or at least short-listed for the role. Much like I suspect Anthony Mackie was on a short list of actors for Falcon, after being co-star & friends w Remmer.

Between The Lego Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Jurassic World...this guy is going to be a mega-star.
