The Equalizer

"One day someone does something unspeakable to someone you hardly knew, so you do something about it because no one else is going to…" Columbia Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Antoine Fuqua's The Equalizer, an update of the cult classic 80's vigilante TV show, this time starring Denzel Washington as the badass Robert McCall. When he meets a young woman, played by Chloe Moretz, and attempts to gain her freedom, he ends up bringing the entire Russian mob down on him. But he can take them, no problem. The cast includes Melissa Leo, Martin Csokas and Bill Pullman. This looks like a solid action thriller, enjoy.

Here's the first full trailer for Antoine Fuqua's The Equalizer, first found via SlashFilm:

The Equalizer is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Shooter, Olympus Has Fallen) and written by Richard Wenk (The Expendables 3, The Mechanic). Denzel Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloƫ Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall's desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer. Columbia opens the film in theaters September 26th.

Wait a few years. Can't really judge looks until 20-to-25.

Not quite The Equalizer I recall from the series, more like Taken, but should be a fun ride none the less.

Looks pretty good! However, it would have 'looked' better if the late Tony Scott would have directed this. Maybe he RIP. :

Looks solid. And that expression on Denzels face when hi's taking people out, just cold...

Down for this, Denzel, seemed a weird choice for McCall, but this could be his early years before he gets a bit older. McCall the early years.

Edward Woodward would approve. I just need to hear the Stewart Copeland theme at some point in the movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB1NiNKwueE
