Watch: Devil Baby Attacks New York City in 'Devil's Due' Viral Stunt

Now this is some great viral marketing to kick off 2014. Though the found footage horror film Devil's Due looks formulaic and typical of the subgenre, this little stunt used to promote the film in New York City is amazing. Fox decided to place a remote controlled stroller, complete with an animatronic devil baby inside, and leave it all by itself for unsuspecting citizens to investigate. If this happened to me, I would be absolutely terrified. That little, animatronic devil baby is creepy as hell. Also, with that stroller rolling around by itself, I wonder if any bonkers people in NYC thought Ghostbusters II was becoming a reality.
Here's the Devil Baby Attack viral stunt for Devil's Due, in theaters this Friday:
After a mysterious, lost night on their honeymoon, a newlywed couple finds themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behavior in his wife that they initially write off to nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin. Zach Gilford, Allison Miller and Colin Walker star in the film directed by V/H/S segment directors Tyler Gillett & Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and new writers Lindsay Devlin & Zoe Green. 20th Century Fox releases The Devil's Due January 17th, 2014.
