Fifty Shades of Grey

The time has come for all the women to go wild as the first trailer for the adaptation of the best-selling erotic romance novel Fifty Shades of Grey has arrived. Based on E.L. James' book of the same name, a provocative love story unfolds as a college graduate named Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) develops a unique romance with the dominant, young entrepreneur Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). This looks to be pretty much what we expected, but probably won't end up satisfying the salacious sexual appetites of the readers who've built up this sexy story in their head for a few years now. But you never know. Watch below!

Here's the first full trailer for Sam Taylor-Johnson's Fifty Shades of Grey from Universal's YouTube:

Fifty Shades of Grey is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy) and written by Kelly Marcel (Saving Mr. Banks), based on E.L. James' best-selling novel. The film follows an impending college graduate named Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), who strikes up an S&M romance with successful young entrepreneur Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), the physical and emotional dominant to her submissive personality. The cast also features Luke Grimes as Grey's brother, Victor Rasuk as Steele's close friend, and Jennifer Ehle as her mother. Focus Features and Universal will release the film on February 13th, 2015.

I get that she is supposed to be a "fish out of water" in the first scenes of her going for the interview, but her costume is so outrageously bad it is just silly. No reporter working in New York would go to an interview dressed so out of place.

I'll admit that I read the book out of curiosity - she goes to interview him for a college newspaper, in place of her reporter roommate who gets the flu...not that it makes it any better.

Trailer looks kinda good. I probably won't pay to see it at the cinema, but I will either rent it or watch it on EPIX, or whatever. Dakota Johnson is fine, btw...
