How's that for some alliteration? For some reason, Wargaming.net is the first to debut footage from David Ayer's tank drama Fury after showing off a cool featuette at E3 this week. There's tons of great footage both from the film and behind the scenes, showing off the fatigued five-man crew of the titular tank as they carry on a mission behind enemy lines. Brad Pitt gets back in World War II mode, though this looks a little less exaggerated and stylized than Inglorious Basterds. But he's still got a great cast including Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal at his side. This looks pretty great. Watch!
Here's the first footage from David Ayer's Fury in a featurette from IGN:
Written & directed by David Ayer (Street Kings, End of Watch), Fury follows a crew of Americans who embark on a brave mission. As the Allies make their final push, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal and Jason Isaacs star in the film which Columbia Pictures has set for release October 17th early this fall.

The generic plot outline and "elegant old fashioned film making" selling point are red flags, but yes it does have a stellar cast. I never pegged Sam Witwicky and Percy Jackson as launch pads for great actors; however LaBeouf and Lerman are regularly proving me wrong. PS: Kitten Calendar! Kitten Calendar! Kitten Calendar! Kitten Calendar!...

Looks like a cliche war drama Spielberg would do. Great film making tho.

Looks pretty good. I hope there will be bloopers in the DVD of how Brad gave Shia that "im not famous anymore" right hook to the face lol
