Watch: First Trailer for Adorable Animated Spin-Off 'Minions' Movie
"Then one Minion stepped forward!" Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have debuted the first full-length trailer for the Despicable Me spin-off movie Minions, which is actually more of a teaser even though it runs 3 minutes long. This adventure tells the story of the lovable yellow Minions, which have already become infamous from their appearances in the Despicable Me movies. While they still don't have voices, this movie takes them from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind… from annihilation. The voice cast does have Sandra Bullock & Jon Hamm, but they aren't revealed in this trailer. It actually looks like fun.
Here's the first trailer for Illumination Entertainment's Minions movie, direct from YouTube:
The story of Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. After accidentally killing off so many of them—from T. rex to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves without a master to serve and fall into a deep depression. But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he—alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob—ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. Minions is co-directed by Kyle Balda, of The Lorax previously, and Pierre Coffin, of both Despicable Me 1 & 2 previously. Universal releases Minions in theaters in 3D starting July 10th, 2015 next summer. You in?

This reminds me of the cartoons i grew up with like Tom and Jerry. They didn't talk and were still hilarious. I know the minions speak but in a language we don't really understand and yet are funny as hell! i can't wait to see this with my kids.

Seriously? The people responsible for licensing Jimi Hendrix's music allow it for a Minions movie trailer but not a Hendrix biopic? Fuuukk I wish Jimi had better people for relatives

seems like short skits with Minions - could be funny- but I hope theres a set or 1 -2 characters that stand out and not just 100's of bit-part charters
