Walrus Yes! After hosting a panel at Comic-Con 2014 for Tusk, filmmaker Kevin Smith and A24 Films have debuted the trailer online for your viewing pleasure. Or distaste, perhaps. The movie is about a man, played by Michael Parks, who wants to make another human, played by Justin Long, into a walrus. Kind of like Human Centipede but with a weird, wacky, funny Kevin Smith twist. In addition to those two, the cast includes Genesis Rodriguez as his girlfriend, and Haley Joel Osment (yea, him!) as another friend, who go on the hunt for him when he goes missing. I must say this actually looks pretty damn good, although it looks really fucked up. But I'm glad there's some humor to it, too. Not much is revealed in this, so enjoy!
Here's the first official trailer for Kevin Smith's Tusk, direct from A24 Films:
Tusk is the new film written & directed by Kevin Smith (or @ThatKevinSmith as he's listed on the poster), of Clerks I-III, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Cop Out, and Red State. The plot involves a best friend and his podcast co-host who go missing in the backwoods of Canada, and they go searching for them. Early buzz from distributors praises a "horror movie for the ages", something along the lines of The Human Centipede, if not crazier. "We can say with certainty that this movie will blow people's minds. Truly one you'll have to see to believe." Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Justin Long, Michael Parks, Johnny Depp,m Ralph Garman appear in the film. A24 & Demarest Films will release Smith's Tusk on September 19th, 2014 later this year. #WalrusYes

Wow. Wasn't expecting it to look so intriguing. And I'm pretty interested in seeing Haley Joel Osment make a return. In the few brief shots we saw in the trailer, he looks pretty good!

Yikes I smell a Human Centipede disaster......and let's face it Kevin Smith is an awful director. I like hearing him talk about film but making them? Yikes

I'm not a fan of Kevin Smith's stalled style of directing.

Very strange. Some of those shots of people looking horrified at something off screen has me Interested to see some of the make up effects.

How did Haley Joel Osment get so round?

The plot + Kevin Smith alone will have most there. Especially since it looks like they'll actually have the 'Justin Long as a walrus' reveal. I'll also see anything with Michael Parks.
