A Most Violent Year

There's no doubt that Oscar Isaac is on the verge of a huge career breakthrough. In just over a year, we'll see him as one of the heroes in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (he's flying an X-Wing in the teaser trailer), and he just booked the title villain role in X-Men: Apocalypse. If you haven't seen him in Inside Llewyn Davis, seek that movie out, and then make sure you check him out in the lead again with A Most Violent Year, one of the awards contenders that is said to be full of some great performances, including Isaac ad his co-star Jessica Chastain. See for yourself in the full trailer from the United Kingdom and two featurettes.

Here's the full UK trailer for J.C. Chandor's A Most Violent Year from Icon Films:

And here's two featurettes on the film with Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain from A24:

You can watch two previous trailers for J.C. Chandor's A Most Violent Year right here.

A Most Violent Year is written and directed by J.C. Chandor (All is Lost, Margin Call). Set during the winter of 1981 -- statistically one of the most crime-ridden of New York City’s history -- the film follows the lives of an immigrant and his family as they attempt to capitalize on the American Dream, while the rampant violence, decay, and corruption of the day drag them in and threaten to destroy all they have built. Jessica Chastain, Oscar Isaac, Albert Brooks and David Oyelowo star in the film that A24 sends to New York and Los Angeles on December 31st and will expand wide to more theaters throughout January 2015. Good?

"Ain't no love in the heart of the city." // This looks like a phenomenal feat. Just the right amount of Scorsese.
