71st Golden Globes

Last night, the 71st Golden Globes spread the love by giving honors to Gravity, 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club, American Hustle and more. And while we're much more interested in the winners than the broadcast itself, there were still plenty of great moments from the big party the Hollywood Foreign Press Association holds every year and lets millions watch from around the world. Amy Poehler & Tina Fey made for incredible hosts again, with a hilarious opening monologue, and some truly entertaining moments throughout the evening. And of course, the acceptance speeches from the winners (which were a little rushed due to the show running late) were something special too. Watch the video highlights below!

First, here's Fey & Poehler's very funny two-part opening monologue which kicked off the ceremony:

Jennifer Lawrence adorably and inexplicably nervously accepted Best Supporting Actress:

Spike Jonze happily takes the award for Best Screenplay for his work on Her:

Jared Leto talks shaving his body, and his natural bubble butt while accepting Best Supporting Actor:

Taking a break from the awards rigamarole, Tina Fey introduces her son Randy:

Leonardo DiCaprio wins Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical with plenty of love for Martin Scorsese:

Matthew McConaughey's acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Drama as only he could deliver:

Alfonso Cuaron makes history as the first Hispanic to win Best Director for Gravity:

12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen graciously accepts the night's top honor for Best Drama:

That's it for our favorite moments of the night. Now we're already looking forward to seeing how the nominations for the 86th Academy Awards play out when they're announced January 16th, this Thursday. Will we see the accolades spread out over multiple films or will favorites like Gravity and 12 Years a Slave take a big chunk of the major awards? Only time will tell. Stay tuned to all our awards coverage right here.

I can't watch these clips, because i'm in The Netherlands. F*cking location restriction!

It's ok man, just take pride in knowing your nation is far safer, more practical, environmentally friendly, fiscally responsible, and superior to the U.S. in innumerable other ways. Cheers.
