If you've been paying attention to our coverage, you know it's fall festival season. We've checked out Telluride and the Toronto International Film Festival this year, and we'll have coverage of Fantastic Fest soon as well. But coming up later this month is also the New York Film Festival, with a whole slew of great films, some of which have already premiered at the aforementioned film festivals, along with Cannes. But there's some films premiering in the Big Apple that no one has seen yet, including Paul Thomas Anderson's anticipated Inherent Vice, and some brief footage from the film has popped up in a trailer for the festival, along with footage from many more of the fantastic festival selections as well. Watch below!

Here's the trailer for the 52nd New York Film Festival from EW:

Stay tuned for our 52nd New York Film Festival coverage from September 26th to October 12th.

Founded in 1963, as the auteur theory and European cinematic modernism were crashing upon the shores of American film culture, the New York Film Festival continues to introduce audiences to the most exciting, innovative and accomplished works of world cinema. Join us as North America's second oldest film festival marks its 52nd edition with 15 days of exciting world premieres, award winners from Cannes, Berlin and Venice, retrospective screenings, spotlights on emerging filmmakers, panels, galas and much more! Cool?

Three scenes: 1. Joaquin smoking. 2. Joaquin getting bumped over by walking cops. 3. Owen Wilson and the last supper.
