"I want something people can't turn away from." In this age of sensationalized news, it's the perfect time for this twisted thriller Nightcrawler starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a desperate freelance crime journalist in Los Angeles willing to do anything to get a good story. However, when some of his shady activities to craft the best feature for a hungry network executive (Rene Russo) get him in trouble with the law, he just might end up being the next juicy headline himself. This looks pretty damn intense and even gruesome, showcasing another fantastic performance from Gyllenhaal, which is becoming a regular thing. Watch now!
Here's the full-length official trailer for Dan Gilroy's Nightcrawler, originally from Yahoo:
Nightcrawler is written and directed by Dan Gilroy) writer of Two for the Money, Real Steel and The Bourne Legacy) making his feature directing debut. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Lou Bloom, a driven young man desperate for work who discovers the high-speed world of L.A. crime journalism. Finding a group of freelance camera crews who film crashes, fires, murder and other mayhem, Lou muscles into the cut-throat, dangerous realm of nightcrawling -- where each police siren wail equals a possible windfall and victims are converted into dollars and cents. Open Road Films releases the film on October 31st. See the first teaser.

Gyllenhaal is becoming my new Dicaprio in that I will watch anything he is involved in. Like Leo, Jake is really hitting his stride. Picking good roles and doing some really great work. Film looks really good.
