Watch: 'Paddington' Comes to Life in Teaser Trailer for Holiday Release

While the UK will get to see the Peruvian teddy bear Paddington on the big screen this spring, the loveable children's book character won't arrive in theaters in the United States until just before Christmas this year. And now The Weinstein Company has seen fit to tease the release of the film with just a brief glimpse at the bear who heads to London in order to find a new home. Colin Firth voices the title bear, but we don't get to hear him in this teaser, and we barely get to see Paddington himself. But alas, it's a teaser. Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent and Julie Walters also star. Watch it!

Here's the teaser trailer for Paul King's Paddington, originally from Yahoo:

Paddington is written directed by Paul King, produced by David Heyman (Harry Potter franchise) and based on the children's book character created by Michael Bond in 1958. The story follows the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kindly Brown family who offer him a temporary haven. Colin Firth voices Paddington while Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent and Julie Walters also star in the film which The Weinstein Company will release on December 12th in the United States.

Good ol' Paddington. I watched the shit out of that stop-motion bastard when I was a kid. Glad he's still around.
