Watch: Pharrell's 'Gust of Wind' Music Video Directed by Edgar Wright

He's back! No, not Pharrell, director Edgar Wright. Ever since dropping out of Marvel's Ant-Man movie, we've been wondering where he would end up and what he would be directing next. Would it be Star Wars maybe? Or something else? No, actually, his next project is a music video for a Pharrell Williams track with Daft Punk. Hell yes! The video has finally debuted in full after Edgar teased it on his blog recently. The track is titled "Gust of Wind" by Pharrell Williams featuring a little bit of Daft Punk, which is a promo for Pharrell's new album "G I R L" released March on iTunes/Amazon. It's perfect for autumn as it takes place in a forest with lots of red & orange (& white) colored dancers and giant rock Daft Punk masks. Oh it's fun.
Thanks to The Film Stage for the tip on this music video. It was posted on YouTube as part of promo for Pharrell's new album G I R L. Directed by Edgar Wright. On his blog, Edgar posted a full recap of the music videos he made from 2002 to 2005, while working on Shaun of the Dead. "After 'Spaced' was finished in 2001, I directed a few more music videos while writing and developing Shaun Of The Dead. It was a funny period for music videos as the budgets were plummeting because of file sharing. Interestingly each of these videos had a lower budget than the last. That meant a lot of favours pulled in every department. Still, the best thing about doing them is to try out new techniques." Good to see him mix it up. Follow @edgarwright.

Prob one of the most boring videos i've ever seen. The uncoordinated dancers don't really help. Yeah, 2 cool DF helmets..huh yeah...I dig the song tho.

There's some interesting imagery here, but when I heard "When I open the window, I wanna hug you. You remind me of the air.....Yeah..." I turned that damned thing off, BECAUSE THAT'S JUST STUPID.

I think he's referring to Edgar Wright the director... I'm sure he jumped at the idea to work With Daft Punk - but Pharrel is as full of himself as Anna Nicole Smith... he's lame!
