[Rec] 4: Apocalypse

The found footage horror franchise [REC] began back in 2007, and it's still going strong, at least overseas, with the fourth installment [REC] 4: Apocalypse. After wreaking havoc on a wedding in the last film, this one takes the action to an oil tanker, and also brings back Manuela Velasco as the young television reporter who was stuck in the quarantined building from the original film. After making it out alive, they've isolated her on this boat, but that may not be enough to contain the virus. This is a red band trailer with lots of blood and gore, so it's probably not best to fire it up around kids or at the dinner table. Watch it below!

Here's the US trailer for Jaume Balagueró [REC] 4: Apocalypse, originally from Yahoo:

You can still watch the first international trailer for [REC] 4: Apocalypse right here.

[REC] 4 Apocalypse is directed by Spanish horror filmmaker Jaume Balagueró, who co-wrote & co-directed the original films [REC] and [REC] 2 before breaking out to make the horror Sleep Tight on his own. He's now returning to the franchise to finish the story, along with producer Julio Fernández. [REC] was made by Balagueró and Paco Plaza. In the film, Angela Vidal (Manuela Velasco), the young television reporter who entered the quarantined building with the fireman, manages to make it out alive and is taken to to an oil tanker to be examined. However, it is unknown to her escorts that she carries the virus. The film has already opened up overseas, but is finally arriving in the United States in the New Year on January 2nd, 2015.

Can't watch until I get out of work, but I hope its as good as the first. The second wasn't bad, and the third was ok, but I loved the first one. Hopefully this is done well.

Part 1 & 2 were awesome. Part 3 was such a disaster it might sway me away from 4.
