"What is this?" "It's evolution…" Time to set your mind free. Warner Bros has unleashed the second full theatrical trailer for cinematographer Wally Pfister's directorial debut, an original science fiction movie called Transcendence, starring Johnny Depp. We've seen a couple of teasers and one full trailer already, but this one delves more into the concepts and focuses on the love story before its unveiling this April. We also get to spend a bit more time with the rest of the cast in this trailer: Rebecca Hall as Evelyn, Kate Mara, Morgan Freeman, Paul Bettany, Cole Hauser & Cillian Murphy as the antagonist Anderson. I'm actually looking forward to seeing this, it looks like it could be a very thrilling watch. "This is the future."

Here's the second theatrical trailer for Wally Pfister's Transcendence, in high def from Apple:

Transcendence is directed by Wally Pfister (cinematographer on Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy) and written by Jack Paglen, with rewrites by Alex Paraskevas & Jordan Goldberg. Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, working to create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. When anti-technology extremists threaten his life, they inadvertently trigger a quick move towards his transcendence, and Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. Warner Bros will be releasing Transcendence in theaters starting on April 18th. So?

I said it before and I'll say it again. It is a refreshing sight to have Johnny Depp do something other than a Jack Sparrow iteration. Flex those acting muscles and start giving us quality stuff.... I'm down for this.

Sooo it's a much better version of Hollow Man.

Super hyped for this film. Pfister is an excellent protege.

Serious chills towards the end of that trailer. Can't wait to see if Pfister pulls this off!

Looks amazing.

Very much looking forward to this; let's hope it's more Lawnmower Man 1, not 2 😉 I especially like the nod to 3d printing in there...

Still a very exciting subject, but rather conventional images and storytelling. Reminds me at the feebleness of "The day the earth stood still" (new one). Epic fassade, but less flesh underneath.

it doesn't do it for me but Mr Depp is not my favorite actor so I am not objective... Not bad but the feeling :I must see this isn't there...

Not too sure about this film. By the trailer it seems as if they don't really leave the setting shown in the film in the desert. I'd want to see what Johnny Depp's character does to a bigger area like in major cities and such.

I'm just happy to see Depp in a role where he's not playing some goofy, half ass, corky character (or in any Tim Burton movie). It's nice to see him spread his wings a little and embrace more serious, level headed roles. It's been too long.
