The Sleepwalker

There's still a few films that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year that haven't hit theaters yet. One such thriller is The Sleepwalker, marking the directorial debut of actress Mona Fastvold from a script she wrote with actor Brady Corbet (Simon Killer), who also stars in the film. Now the theatrical trailer for the fall release that also stars Gitte Witt, Christopher Abbott and Stephane Ellis, and it's not much different than the trailer that popped up before the film even premiered at Sundance. But we wanted to highlight this strange, mysterious thriller on the way later this month. Watch!

Here's the theatrical trailer for Mona Fastvold's The Sleepwalker from IFC Films:

The Sleepwalker is directed by Mona Fastvold (making her feature directorial debut) from a script she co-wrote with Brady Corbet (Simon Killer). A young couple, Kaia and Andrew (Gitte Witt and Christopher Abbott) are renovating Kaia's secluded family estate, but are disrupted by the unexpected arrival of Kaia’s sister, Christine (Stephane Ellis), and her fiance, Ira (Corbet). Prior tensions and jealousies burgeon as new alliances form and childhood patterns resurface. As the days grow darker and the nights more disturbing, Kaia is forced to confront Christine’s tangled perception of reality, which may have begun to alter her own. When one of the four goes missing, the three left behind are flung into upheaval trying to fill in the blanks. The film premiered at Sundance this year and hits theaters and VOD on November 21st.

the house is nice. It would be great to have it through winter with someone special... The story, unfortunately, doesn't look so special...
