Watch: Teaser for Next James Bond Reveals Fake Title 'Come and Dive'
Out of nowhere, Sony Pictures has decided to release a teaser for the next James Bond film, and with it comes the official title for the film: Come and Dive. The film won't even begin shooting until this fall, and doesn't hit theaters until late 2015, but producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli decided to unveil a vague teaser, clearly shot with Daniel Craig in front of a green screen, and an unknown woman standing in a cemetery. The official synopsis says, "Bond will be swept away by a dangerous love story. As MI6 rises from its ashes, 007 must protect a mysterious stranger and unveil long forgotten secrets." Maybe.
Here's the fake teaser for Sam Mendes' Come and Dive, originally from YouTube:
Update: This was just a prank, and we were fooled, but we're still excited for Bond 24.
Come and Dive will be directed by Sam Mendes and written by John Logan (Skyfall). Ralph Fiennes, who became the new "M" in the last James Bond adventure, said the film would start shooting this fall, and that still seems to be the plan. Roger Deakins won't be the cinematographer on this film, but we're sure Wilson and Broccoli will get someone great to help Mendes behind the camera. Maybe they can pick up Emmanuel Lubezki for a little bit after his sterling work on Gravity blew everyone away? Anyway, we've got a long way to go before this 24th installment of the James Bond franchise gets into full gear. Excited yet?
I think it's fan made.
