Guardians of the Galaxy

"I like your knife, I'm keeping it." While we've gotten a pretty big taste of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) with the latest trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, both Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana) have been seen but barely heard from. That all changes with a new TV spot that explains both of their connections to the villain Ronan (Lee Pace), and also shows them kicking some ass. Meanwhile, another TV spot briefly shows us a young Peter Quill when he was taken from Earth as a kid. The more we see of this flick, the more excited we get for August. Watch!

Here's the two new TV spots for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy from Marvel:

Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn (Slither, Super). Brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits — Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand. The Marvel Studios film arrives in theaters August 1st, 2014.

That's always my plan too but I seriously can't stay away from this one.

Resist! Resist!

I've been doing the same. I saw the trailer about two months ago but have been closing my eyes or switching the channels over when a TV trailer comes on. When they fill trailers/TV spots with iconic imagery from the film, it's hard to tell your brain to not look for it in the film or try to compute where that memorable scene will fit within the movie as you watch it. I'm pretty stoked for the film but a trailer embargo is having to be religiously enforced.

I do and I'm certainly glad to hear that I'm not the only one. I think the worst one for this was Captain America 2. Once you've seen one of those super carriers stack it into the ground or a tower in the trailer, it does kinda kill the tension of whether our heroes will be able to bring them down!

And I tought that I was the only one
