After garnering some big laughs in last year's comedy hit We're the Millers, rising British star Will Poulter is on the verge of a huge breakthrough. Later this year, young adult fans will see him struggling to survive in the adaptation of The Maze Runner, and now he's landed another pivotal dramatic role. Variety reports Poulter will co-star in The Revenant, the latest film from Babel director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Poulter will join Oscar nominee Leonardo DiCaprio in the period revenge thriller about a 1820s frontiersman on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling. More below!
While in the wilderness, a grizzly bear mauls Hugh Glass, a fur trapper who joins the Rocky Mountain Fur Company, fatally, taking him to within inches of his life. But his fellow trappers leave him behind, taking his gun and knife and leaving him for dead. After a miraculous survival over a two thousand mile trek, he returns to take revenge on those who left him to die alone in the woods. Tom Hardy is supposed to play one of the other trappers, and Poulter would likely be part of that group too. We're certainly excited to see what he can do with a film like this, and such an intimidating cast. Sound good?

He will probably play the kid who at first wants to help him after the bear attack, but ends up taking his equipment anyway. If I remember the book well enough.
