Millennium Falcon

There's been a fun little back and forth between the productions of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Star Wars: Episode VII over the past few months. Director Zack Snyder kicked it off with a picture of Henry Cavill as a Jedi (inexplicably with a red lightsaber), and went on to create an action figure scene with Batman on Tatooine with R2-D2 and most recently, a Stormtrooper getting caught trying to steal the new Batmobile. Bad Robot previously fired back with a picture of C-3PO protecting Gotham City and now they've released a new video of the life-size Millennium Falcon set piece, and there's a special treat.

Here's the video called Hunka Junk that Bad Robot posted on their own YouTube page:

As you can see, what starts as a nostalgic look at the outside of the Millennium Falcon turns into a sweeping shot towards an awesome little Batman easter egg. The production design team has put a small model of the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy on the bottom of Han Solo's ship, disguised as a dirty part. With both films still shooting, we can't wait to see what other crossover shenanigans unfold.

This is one of the weirdest yet most satisfying crossovers in the film making process that I have seen.

Snyder will need to step it up now that JJ has taken it from photoshop to live footage.

These are the Who framed Roger Rabbit of promotion material

Poor little Tumbler. All alone.

DAVIDPD on Sep 18, 2014

It's a pity that after all this time they haven't been able to come up with some new classic spaceship designs of their own. The original Star Wars designers and model makers are geniuses.

AwesomeWave on Sep 18, 2014

Oh rly? All the ships in it were old designs? Pretty good flick? I was sure they'd have more ships than the Falcon and some updated X-wings (from leaks).

That is an odd correlation. So I'm assuming there'll be a Batman/Sith fight?

Jonathan on Sep 18, 2014

Batman Vs Sith? Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!

This is why people get nervous.
