Thunder buddies for life. Universal has debuted yet another red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane's Ted 2, the return of everyone's favorite foul-mouthed teddy bear. This ain't even the first red band trailer either. They basically pack all kinds of jokes and ridiculous scenes into this trailer that they can't normally show to regular audiences. F-bombs, lots of pot smoking and pot jokes, and a little bit of the plot. Mark Wahlberg returns along with Seth MacFarlane as the voice of Ted, joined by Amanda Seyfried, who shows up in just about every scene of this trailer, plus Morgan Freeman and Jessica Barth as Tami-Lynn. Have fun.
Here's the new red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane's Ted 2, direct from AMC's YouTube:
If you want to see more footage, you can still watch the first trailer for Ted 2 right here.
Ted 2 is directed by Seth MacFarlane, who also voices the title teddy bear, with a script he co-wrote with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild (writers of MacFarlane's previous directing efforts Ted and A Million Ways to Die in the West). Plot details haven't been revealed, but part of the story will focus on Ted fighting in court for the right to have a child with his human girlfriend. Morgan Freeman helps him out as an iconic civil rights lawyer, and the film also brings back Mark Wahlberg in the lead with Amanda Seyfried taking the female lead. Liam Neeson and John Slattery also pop up in the film. Universal opens Ted 2 on June 26th.

Ted still sounds just like Peter Griffin. MacFarlane is too talented for this.

This trailer is definitely a step down from the previous. Didn't laugh once. If we weren't planning to review this for our pod, I'd be skipping it.

Million Ways To Die In The West was not a great film but I wonder if Paul Rudd might have improved it a tad. Besides that I'm not sure Mcfarlane is good in front of the camera, maybe too self aware, and maybe knowing he'd be the lead he wrote a script that didn't call for him to stretch his acting chops? Just a thought.
