20 Years of Friendship

Best friends are friends forever. The latest charming TV spot promo for Pixar's The Good Dinosaur is a very emotional, very sweet reminder of how important friendship is. The spot takes a quick look back at "20 years of friendship", and all the different stories they've told about friends. "A single friendship can change everything. From Toy Story to The Good Dinosaur, join us in celebrating 20 years of friendship from Pixar Animation Studios." The Good Dinosaur is also about a friendship - Arlo, the apatosaurus, and his human pet that he names Spot. I'm already excited to see this, even moreso after this wonderful look back at Pixar.

Here's the new promo "20 Years of Friendship" direct from Disney, celebrating 20 years of Pixar friends:

You can also watch the latest full-length US trailer for Pixar's The Good Dinosaur here, to see even more.

The Good Dinosaur is directed by Peter Sohn (director of Partly Cloudy, animator on The Incredibles and WALL-E). Dinosaurs are the dominant species on Earth (since the asteroid missed and they lived on for millions of years). One day one of the dinos, named Arlo (voiced by Raymond Ochoa) discovers a human toddler that isn't afraid of these creatures, and they adopt him as their pet. A.J. Buckley and Anna Paquin voice the T-Rex's Nash and Ramsey, while Jeffrey Wright and Frances McDormand voice Arlo's Poppa and Momma. Disney will release Pixar's The Good Dinosaur in theaters everywhere starting November 25th.

Pixar have always told amazing stories. Can't wait for this one. I can't believe it has been 20 years since Toy Story. Amazing that in the current era of superheroes and blockbuster movies that cater for all audiences, these guys continue to make successful movies both critically and financially.

When you spend two seconds thinking about it. Yeah, they are masters of the on-screen friendship. Making them believable. Making the viewer care, genuinely. It is pretty incredible actually.
