Christopher Nolan's Next Movie Officially Set for Release July 2017
Briefly: Without a title, without any plot info, or any real other information available yet, Warner Bros has announced a release date for "the next Christopher Nolan movie". Variety has confirmed that WB will be releasing the next movie directed by Christopher Nolan on July 21st, 2017 – two years from now. That's the same release date as Pitch Perfect 3 and comes just before Sony's new Spider-Man movie and after Disney's Pirates 5. No other details are known, though there was a rumor that it might be science fiction again following Interstellar. Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates and details from here on out.

Best director currently alive and working.

Aaaaagreeed. In all seriousness I understand everyone's "critiques" on him, but honestly, he makes some of the best original, entertaining, and overall fun movies I've ever seen.

Scorsese and Fincher might have claim to that but I dont know if i can disagree with you.

In terms of pure spectacle, nobody comes close to Nolan. His writing isn't the best, but each of his movies is a masterpiece visually.

Yes I prefer the verbiage "best director of the current generation" because saying "best director currently alive and working" pits him against the greats who are still alive and currently working. Actually I don't think Nolan is the best modern director but he is definitely top tier. It's become kinda cliche to say this but I hope to see him display some versatility with his next project. I'm sure I'm in the minority but personally I think the tone of his movies never change. Also I'd like to see him work with another composer, I'm not a fan of post Gladiator Zimmer . Regardless I'll always look forward to a new Christopher Nolan movie because he seems to put his all into each project.

His work is extremely diverse and Zimmer is easily the best composer alive and working 😉

My only 2 fav directors at the moment are Richard Linklater & Denis Villeneuve and I don't think they come close just yet.

Every movie from Nolan is above average... Interstellar was simply a masterpiece...

Maybe Nolan IS directing Pitch Perfect 3.

While everyone else is fixed on making reboots/remakes, Nolan puts in the effort to do something no one else does. Originality is why I love this Director/Writer/Producer.

He's got a lot of balls going up against Pitch Perfect 3. (lolz) Here's hoping he gets back on track after the less than stellar Interstellar.

I heard it's a Nutty Professor remake....

I seriously can`t wait. Stanley Kubrick is still currently my favorite director of all time. For anyone else to come close to beating that it would be Nolan for me. I just fucking love his films. Watching Interstellar in 70mm IMAX is the best theater experience I`ve ever had. I can`t wait. If he tops Interstellar in terms of scale & ambition…my head will explode.

Maybe Sony gave him the Shadow of the Colossus movie. Imagine tho?
