"He's got an incredibly complicated emotional structure going on." Marvel has released a very short, but nonetheless fascinating featurette on the story of Doctor Strange. Production is now underway in London on Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme. This featurette is less than 60-seconds and only includes discussions about the characters and some glimpses at concept art, but no real footage is available yet. Scott Derrickson is directing the film. The full cast includes Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Scott Adkins & Chiwetel Ejiofor. Get your first Strange introduction below.
Here's the very first featurette on Marvel's Doctor Strange movie, now in production, found on YouTube:
Marvel's Doctor Strange, with Scott Derrickson directing, just went into production this year with a release date set for November 4th, 2016 late next year. Benedict Cumberbatch plays Doctor Strange and Tilda Swinton plays The Ancient One. The script was originally written by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer, with work by Jon Spaihts. Doctor Strange follows a once brilliant neurosurgeon forced into retirement after a car accident destroys his once skilled hands. He then meets the Ancient One on a trip to Tibet and learns to become the Sorcerer Supreme. We'll be keeping an eye on this production and any other major developments. Stay tuned for more updates from Marvel with production underway in London now.

That's it? He stopped talking right when he started! Shortest "featurette" ever....

I know, I know. I was just starting to get into it, and it ended. Dr. Strange is a fascinating character that I really don't know much about. I've never read any standalone comics, just the Marvel comics where he shows up, mindfucks everyone, and leaves.

This movie has a preposterous amount of talent involved. I am very happy to see MAGIC enter the realm of Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

Mads Mikkelson is in this? Awesome! That guy deserves a huge role as well. He's a phenomenal actor.
