As usual, it's time to get a look one of next summer's movies as we're getting into the thick of this summer. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to his Twitter/Instagram to send out a first photo of him as "Bob" from Central Intelligence, a new comedy from Rawson Marshall Thurber, director of We're the Millers. The film is about regular guys recruited to become spies, and he is one of them. "The inspiration behind this character 'Bob' has always been Tom Hanks in BIG with an added twist. He's a grown man who's extremely childlike and views the world thru exuberant and enthusiastic teenage eyes…" Yet he's an elite agent for the CIA. He also "rocks a fanny pack which holds his Bruce Lee quotes and a condom (he's always prepared)."
Here's the first look photo direct from Dwayne Johnson's Instagram page - read the description for more:
After he reunites with an old pal through Facebook, a mild-mannered accountant is lured into the world of international espionage. Central Intelligence is directed by filmmaker Rawson Marshall Thurber (of Dodgeball, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, We're the Millers), from a screenplay by Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen. Describing his character, Johnson reveals that the "'added twist' is Bob has an extremely high IQ and is one of the most lethal men on the planet as a C.I.A. contract killer. Oh the most important character trait.. He hates bullies." The rest of the cast includes Kevin Hart, Amy Ryan, Danielle Nicolet. The project is currently filming. Warner Bros is planning to release Central Intelligence on June 17th, 2016 next year.

I feel like the Rock is in every movie that is set to come out this year. This character reminds me of the child like guy he plays in Pain & Gain. I'll most likely check it out.

"The film is about regular guys recruited to become spies"....because The Rock looks like a regular guy, and not at all like he belongs in Expendables 6.

Not really an exciting teaser, but I hope this film is hilarious. Kevin Hart is funny, and Thurber's comedies were pretty good (Dodgeball, We're The Millers...even his Terry Tate: Office Linebacker ads were hilarious!)

Bald The Rock is not good. If this called for a man-child, I wonder where Will Ferrell was?
