First Teaser for Michael Moore's New Doc 'Where To Invade Next'

"I have invaded your country." Hot on the heels of the world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, the first teaser trailer has debuted for Michael Moore's Where To Invade Next. His latest doc is not actually about America invading countries, instead it's a doc about how other countries have solved many of the problems that America can't seem to solve. The film received a short standing ovation and rave reviews from critics at its TIFF premiere, and from the looks of it this is going to be a very provocative and entertaining doc. This teaser doesn't show much of the meatier footage beyond fun glimpses of Moore bringing the 'Merican flag to other countries. I'm looking forward to this, always down for a good Michael Moore doc. Check it out below.
Here's the first teaser trailer for Michael Moore's doc Where To Invade Next, direct from YouTube:
And here's a few of the tweets and reactions from the world premiere at TIFF of Where To Invade Next:
"What if we showed fellow Americans that which we don't have and others do have?" —Michael Moore on WHERE TO INVADE NEXT #TIFF15
— Adam B. Vary (@adambvary) September 11, 2015
Moore first conceived WHERE TO INVADE NEXT when he broke his toe in Sweden, and realized all of America's problems do have solutions.
— Jordan Hoffman (@jhoffman) September 11, 2015
Where To Invade Next is great. Baffling and wonderfully insightful. Hilarious and enraging. Overly ambitious but effective. #TIFF15

"Michael Moore's Where To Invade Next doesn't have a US release date" Yeah, and it should probably stay that way. 😀

I didn't know that being "far above people" means having the lowest amount of common sense needed to understand this guy is only making films to shock uninformed stupid people and make money doing it? I'm writing this 40 feet below the surface BTW.

I just said "this kind of product". I would like to draw a line between propaganda and social commentary. One is a clever way of talking about issues which concern the author and allows the people to try to learn more about the subject matter. It doesn't take people for granted, like propaganda does. Propaganda is just that, pig lard for the masses.

I remember walking out of Fahrenheit 9/11 and realizing I had just sat through an hour and 30 minute propaganda film. If he didn't want Bush to win the next election that's fine, I had no horse in that race, but My God what was I supposed to get out of that garbage!?

He lies quite a lot, not Fox News level lies, but lies none the less. So I never bother watching his films.

Some examples would be great please.
Charles Knowlton on Sep 13, 2015

One example is that he interviewed the creators of South Park in Bowling for Columbine and after they refused to do an animation, created one in a 'South Park' style to say what he wanted, I thought that was quite deceitful. In the past his films have appealed to me, but the internet has better sources for the information he is putting out. I just think he over sensationalises things for cheap effect.

Come on, you called him a liar now let's hear it. What lies? Put your your money where your mouth is, scour the internet, paste and copy. See how easy it is? Typical.

Have a read of some of this, first find in Google, most probably a right wing propaganda fun party but might be worth a read http://www.mooreexposed.com

Wow. Not much love for Michael Moore down here. He is a fat, arrogant, manipulative bastard, it's true. But he is also a great filmmaker.... I feel like he should have quit with "Columbine".... everything since then has been over the top

This guy is a POS, who pretends to be a Lib who cares but is a rich faker with multiple huge homes and is a multi-millionaire. Don't believe me? Look at his divorce documents with his ex-wife where his assets are all laid out.

I'm no MM fan either but who says Liberals can't be rich? Bill Gates is a Liberal and he's in the 1%. Moore made how many docs over the years? It's simple math that at some point will do make some money if people go see them. And while he can be extremely ignorant and annoying, his movies are still raising important issues that brings people to a debate.

It kind of weakens the whole message about income inequality and that Republicans are the party of the rich.

Repubs are showing their true colors all by themselves. All you have to do is look at their voting record.

The difference is, wealthy Democrats are WILLING to pay more taxes to pay for things to improve this country. Wealthy Republicans want to tear it apart so they can have more for themselves, watch the poor suffer and die. Then sit there and blame the poor for just being poor, when it is the wealthy elite who keep reducing their choices.

I am a Republican, but neither wealthy or willing to pay more taxes to "improve" this great country. Please stop telling me what I should do with MY hard earned money.

Like using the internet which was built via tax money
Venom on Sep 13, 2015

So they are waiting for tax hikes? Why not give their wealth away? Sounds like a cop out. A very convenient one. "Well I would have given it away if someone had made me do it!" And prove to me they are WILLING. That's about as meaningless as saying a junkie is WILLING to quit but hasn't taken a step towards doing so and will only do it if they are thrown in jail.

Michael Moore's next film will be titled, "The Thing That Ate Pittsburgh". The film will focus on Moore himself, as he proceeds to actually eat Pittsburgh.

Loved him in Team America: World Police, his best performance by far! He is a true giant fat blinding light in what is modern society! Thank God for Mr. Moore because without him I'd be just another puppet of blah blah blah, so thanks Mr. Moore for showing me how to think exactly the way you do regardless of how many lies or half truths you tell even though you present it as fact! Thaaanks!!!

I could start saying that we are probably from different countries and we love movies, that's why we read this website. And, probably, we are not from that really mind closed group who only thinks the world starts and ends in the U.S.

Let me guess. Moore is trying to promote nordic style socialism in a huge non homogeneous country like the US. Even the nordic people will tell you it wouldn't work here.

See, this is the problem with the internet. Everyone thinks every blog post is true. Really unbelievable, but true. Just look at the number of people who hate Woody Allen because they heard he did something awful to his daughter. It's really, really sad and is part of the reason why the United States has a guy like Trump leading the Republican party into an election. Americans are really, REALLY gullible and stupid. Way to go Carpola! You do your country proud and yes I am making an assumption there.
Charles Knowlton on Sep 14, 2015

I'm not American Charles. I think Trump or any one who gives him the time of day are beyond dumb, the man's a clown. Woody Allen, well, I dunno, he's pretty creepy and that's being polite. For me, I think Michael Moore is willing to lie to get a better movie, to get a better edit, therefore creating the reaction he wants from an audience, rather than just dealing with the facts. This is a shame, because it's exactly what he claims to go after in his movies. I agree with almost all of what he talks about, the gun thing seems it will never sort itself out in my lifetime, it's became almost as abstract as the financial system.

I am not a particulare Moore fan. But I am a fan of complaning and telling the man to go fuck himself, whistle blowing etc. So I'm gonna se it.
