Gareth Edwards & Josh Trank Are Coming to Star Wars Celebration
We already know Star Wars Celebration next month is going to have a huge kick off with J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy on hand, likely showing off the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens before it arrives around the release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. And now it sounds like there might be some news on the developing standalone films, because StarWars.com has announced that Gareth Edwards, the director of Star Wars: Rogue One and Josh Trank, the director of the next untitled spin-off, will be coming to the event to "share their experiences as the newest members of the Lucasfilm creative family."
There's a good chance that Edwards may announce more cast members for the film since production is supposed to begin sometime this year, and he might even confirm the rumored plot of the heist to obtain the plans to the first Death Star. Trank probably won't be able to reveal much, especially since his film doesn't even have a release date yet, but maybe they'll just announce a title to tease fans a bit. We can't be sure, but there will probably be some big Star Warsnews coming out of Celebration next month. The panel with Edwards and Trank happens on April 19th so stay tuned to see what happens.
Oh yes. Not surprising, but I would love to hear what they have to say about their respective features.
