"I give you my everything." The Weinstein Company has debuted another new trailer for Antoine Fuqua's Southpaw, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a boxer who has to fight his way to the top to save his family, and his entire life. We've seen one stellar trailer and a solid TV spot for this summer release already, but why not another trailer, because this looks damn good. Some strong emotional storytelling in the middle of all the superheroes and dinosaurs this summer? Sign me up! No seriously, this does look good. The cast includes Rachel McAdams, Forest Whitaker, Naomie Harris, 50 Cent, Beau Knapp + many others. Enjoy!
Here's the second trailer for Antoine Fuqua's Southpaw, direct from The Weinstein Co:
You can still watch the first trailer for Southpaw right here. Follow @WeinsteinFilms for updates.
Southpaw is directed by Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer, Olympus Has Fallen, Shooter, Training Day) and written by Kurt Sutter ("Sons of Anarchy" and "The Shield"). Jake Gyllenhaal plays Junior Middleweight Champion Billy “The Great” Hope, a lefty champ who loses his wife, daughter and life as he knows it after a personal tragedy, forcing him to literally fight his way to redemption. Rachel McAdams, Naomie Harris, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and more star in the film. Southpaw will hit theaters on July 31st this summer.

'Too manipulative'! Indeed, I must agree on that. Glad someone noticed it and also mentioned it. And, as for 'another boxing movie' I must add that we probably had best of Gyllenhaal and he, lately, starts choosing movies that looks a bit mediocre and mainstream enough to earn him a good deal of attention ... As a good just-doing-business logic, it works fine, as for the creativity, I don't know ...

every movie of gylenhaal is worth watching especially when it's directed by fugua... He has a great history in directing movies and I like his style and it's never a disappointment...

This is my most anticipated movie at the moment. After playing Bloom in Nightcrawler and Loki in Prisoners, Gyllenhaal's pretty much the only actor I'll see a movie for for his name alone. Big fight fan as well, and I like the idea of his character climbing out of depths of despair to reclaim greatness for his daughter. Really hoping this is great and can't wait to see it. Looks powerful from the trailers.
