Fresh new late night host James Corden has only been at the reigns of "The Late Late Show" for a few weeks, but his schtick has already become clear. After reenacting the entire filmography of Tom Hanks in under eight minutes and also doing some Pretty in Pink lip syncing with Jon Cryer reprising his iconic role as Duckie, this time Corden had Michael Douglas on as a guest, which prompted the late night host to dress up in drag and perform the iconic interrogation scene from Basic Instinct. For all those squinting for nudity when Sharon Stone uncrossed her legs in the film, you'll want the exact opposite this time.
James Corden and Michael Douglas reenacting Basic Instinct on "The Late Late Show" last night:
Honestly, James Corden can keep doing this with all his guests from the realm of cinema, and I'll never get sick of it. Frankly, I just wish "The Late Late Show" was a little more prominent so he could get even bigger names who normally go straight to "The Late Show" with David Letterman, soon to be hosted by Stephen Colbert. But even so, this is still very amusing, and it's nice to know there's someone like Corden who loves movies and pop culture as much as we do and is creating some solid sketch comedy because of it. Funny?
