Josh Gad is Le Fou in Disney's Live-Action 'Beauty and the Beast'
The cast of Disney's live-action take on Beauty and the Beast is filling out quite nicely. Emma Watson is taking the role of Belle with The Guest star Dan Stevens as The Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston. Now one more key player has been added to the mix with THR reporting that Frozen voice star Josh Gad will play Gaston's chubby, weasel of a sidekick Le Fou. In case you've been living under a rock, Beauty and the Beast follows a young girl who takes the place of her father as a prisoner of a beast after he's caught trespassing on his cursed castle. But Belle learns this beast has a secret: he's actually a handsome prince.
Unlike the rest of the character's in Disney's animated film, Le Fou was actually created just for that film, and wasn't part of the original story. Of all the forthcoming live-action re-tellings of Disney's classic animated feature films, this one sounds like the most promising. The cast is solid, and Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) directing a new musical version is a great choice. At the very least, I'm hoping it's better than Alice in Wonderland or Maleficent. In the meantime, Disney fans will have to flock to see Cinderella this weekend, as the latest of Disney's remakes hits the big screen, and it's apparently quite good.

After seeing Night at the Museum 3, they could have switched the roles around for Dan Stevens and Luke Evans
