87th Academy Award Snubs

We're just a couple days away from Hollywood's big weekend with the 87th Academy Awards airing this Sunday at 7pm ET on ABC. If you haven't check out the full list of nominees for the Oscars this year, you can find that right here. And you just might find that there are some glaring omissions and snubs in the nominee list as we did shortly after the nominations were announced last month. But even though actors like David Oyelowo and movies like The LEGO Movie didn't get nominated, editor Nick Bosworth at JoBlo has been paying tribute to those not nominated with a little video, and this year's installment is here.

Here's Oscars Snubs 2015 Tribute - In Memoriam made by Nick Bosworth for JoBlo:

You can also check out a tribute to this year's Academy Award nominees right here.

The 87th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 22nd at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with a live telecast airing on ABC starting at 7PM (EST) / 4PM (PST). This year's ceremony is being hosted by entertainer/actor Neil Patrick Harris. The full list of 2015 Academy Awards nominees is right here.

Excellent list. However as much fun as Guardians was, I would have left that off the list. Gonna share this! 🙂

Aw....screw the Oscars. They're totally subjective and they don't define what a great film is. For the most part, they're there to generate tons of money for the TV networks, advertisers, designers, actors' paychecks and other corporations.

Oscars are fantastic and all but it's only for the those who wants to play the Hollywood game.

Just recently watched Locke and really loved it. It's hypnotic in the way it was filmed and the music was very nice. I like that this video acknowledges Damien Chazelle, the director of Whiplash, Jake Gyllenhaal for Nightcrawler, and the effects team behind Noah. I knew Channing Tatum would get overlooked for his part in Foxcatcher. I'm surprised he didn't show up in this. Also, this reminds me I need to check out A Most Violent Year sometime soon.
