"Me and my brother, we're gonna rule London." Hot on the heels of the intense trailer for the crime drama Black Mass starring Johnny Depp, it looks like Tom Hardy has a great crime thriller of his own on the way too. Legend sees the star of Inception and Mad Max: Fury Road pulling double duty as twin brothers Reggie and Ron Kray, two of London's most notorious gangsters from the 1960s. It's only a teaser trailer, so it mostly just sets the stage for the story, but there's a good indication that this could be a fantastic crime thriller with a tour de force from Hardy on display. Keep an eye out for Taron Egerton in there too. Watch!
Here's the first UK teaser trailer for Brian Helgeland's Legend from Studio Canal UK:
Legend is written and directed by Brian Helgeland (A Knight's Tale, Payback, 42). Tom Hardy stars in the true story of the rise and fall of London’s most notorious gangsters, Reggie and Ron Kray (both played by Hardy). Together, the Kray brothers take over the city. But as their reign expands, power-struggles, fierce madness, and a woman weakens their bond – the weak link that could cause their empire to collapse. Emily Browning, David Thewlis, Christopher Eccleston, Chazz Palminteri, Tara Fitzgerald, and Taron Egerton also star in the film that hits theaters in the United Kingdom on September 11th, but has no US release date.

Jesus! Tom Hardy is on an absolute tear and he doesn't give 2 shits who he hurts in the process. Take my money again sir.

I thought the exact same thing. Boy done well! However, I was left a little underwhelmed by this. Perhaps because the last Krays film was already a winner in my books.

Mafia movies seems to be back on the track again. Don't really understand why... Nothing special about them, no matter how good they have been made ...

Wonder if it will cover their supply of young boys to politician's and wealthy businessmen that helped them escape jail on more than one occasion? They liked a bit of abuse of young boys themselves to be fair. Suppose if being a child sex trafficker makes you a legend, then hats off to them.
