Watch: 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Gets the 8-Bit Cinema Treatment
It's a new year, and we have two more Marvel Studios releases to look forward to. We just got a new trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron (check out our closer examination of it right here), and a teaser trailer for Ant-Man coming later in the summer. But now we have a cool video from CineFix as part of their ongoing 8-Bit Cinema series, and this one reaches back to 2014 to turn Marvel's surprise sci-fi hit Guardians of the Galaxy into an old school video game. Every single time one of these videos gets released, all I want to do is play a real 8-bit video game version, but that feeling is even stronger for this one. Watch below now!
Here's the 8-Bit Cinema version of Guardians of the Galaxy from CineFix:
Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn (Slither, Super). Brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits — Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to join his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand. Marvel has the film available on Blu-Ray & DVD right now.
Disney would be wise to consider this one. Honestly I'd like an NES-style game of everything in the MCU. Think how little it could cost them - but at least this one. Loved Groot's post-massacre smile.

I would love to play this too! 8-Bit stuff is something I will never tire of...maybe.
