Peter Pan Movie

"He's the pirate all pirates fear - Blackbeard!!" Warner Bros has debuted the second full-length trailer for Joe Wright's Pan, which was initially slated for a summer release but was pushed back until October. Hugh Jackman plays Blackbeard, and he takes one of the main roles, alongside young actor Levi Miller as Peter Pan. We also get to see a bit more of Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily, Garrett Hedlund as Hook (before he becomes bad), Adeel Akhtar as Mr. Smee, plus Cara Delevingne as a mermaid. There are way more VFX shots in this than the first trailer, but it still feels a bit overly colorful in its design. Other than that, I am actually into this, I can see the whimsical fairy tale idea he's going for and I think it looks fun. Away we go…

Here's the latest official trailer for Joe Wright's Pan, direct from Warner Bros:

For comparison, you can still watch the first trailer for Joe Wright's Pan right here.

Pan is directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Anna Karenina, Hanna) and written by Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Drift). Based on J.M. Barrie's classic, the film tells the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny -- to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan. Newcomer Levi Miller plays the title hero with Garrett Hedlund as Hook and Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard. Amanda Seyfried, Rooney Mara and more also star in the film. Warner Bros will be releasing Joe Wright's Pan in 3D this fall starting October 9th. Well?

Looks like they stuck Blackbeard in this so it wouldn't adhere too closely to Max Landis's original pitch: Which sounds a lot cooler than what I'm seeing here...

Looking a little too weird/goofy for my liking.

Whenever a new Peter Pan movie gets made, I always fear the crocodile will be replaced or nonexistent. However, as a guy that both loves and works with crocodilians, I'm so happy to see it'll be in this film too! Even though it jumping out of the water like a dolphin is unrealistic.

I feel like Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" would be perfect for a PETER PAN film trailer. // This looks like a lot of fun.
