The Iron Giant

"What are we looking at here, Mr. Mansley?" A brand new trailer has just landed online for the upcoming re-mastered and extended re-release of Brad Bird's animated The Iron Giant: Signature Edition. We've already heard about this before, as the beloved animated classic will get a small theatrical re-release before it also hits VOD this October. Brad Bird has been hyping it up showing off life-size Iron Giant statues as well as mini-maquettes soon to be on sale. This new trailer doesn't feature too much new footage, but it is a very nice edit that makes this look like so much more than just a cartoon. A great trailer for a wonderful movie.

Here's the new official trailer for Brad Bird's The Iron Giant: Signature Edition, originally from Yahoo:

Details from the Warner Bros press release: "The Iron Giant: Signature Edition arrives to theaters for a special event screening on Wednesday, September 30 at 7:00PM local time, with an encore event in select markets on Sunday, October 4 at 12:00PM local time. The ticket on-sale date and theater locations for 'The Iron Giant: Signature Edition' will be announced this August online at The event will be presented in select movie theaters around the country through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network." Here at FS, we're huge fans of The Iron Giant. We've been following the various Mondo collectible releases, including posters and robot figurines. Now it's finally coming back to theaters! We'll see you all in theaters.

Nearest theater playing this is about 2 hours away, I plan on going to watch this. The Iron Giant is one of my top movies of all time.

make a live action movie of this and it's a sure hit! Fantastic story with a "heart " in it!

Ari, I enjoy your comments.. mostly.. But please stop it already with this terrible idea.. Have U not learned that anything remade is nothing but crap !!! The movie is perfect as it is, just leave it alone for all of us, and future generations, to enjoy !!

Tester on Aug 27, 2015

Dear tester! Thanks! But I realy think this could be awesome live action movie with the right budget! Make it with a "amblin" feel and it will be mesmerizing....

Yeah I can't wait to take my son to see this.

David Diaz on Aug 27, 2015

Awesome.. I saw this movie back in 99 when it came out with my son, he was only 9 and loved it.. We saw it together again just a few years ago and and loved it just as much.

Tester on Aug 27, 2015

Nice. My son will be 2 weeks from turning 9 so hopefully he enjoys it as much as yours did.

David Diaz on Aug 27, 2015

I must admit, didn't watch this in its own time, so I, obviously, have some serious catching up to do. Never mind I am not kid anymore ...

9're a douchebag now

Ah the audio was so sick! So crunchy and "dirty" sounding. Nowadays, the recording equipment is so good it takes away some of the aberrations that made classic films sound so "classic".

"But who built it? The Russians, Chinese, Martians...CANADIANS?! I don't care!" Great line lmao

Without doubt one of my favourite animated films. Such a gem.

Hope he makes a sequel one day.

I saw the original, but that trailer, they way they put that together makes me wanna spend money to see this on the big screen. I'm buying it!!

My kids are still a BIT too young for this... I can't WAIT to watch it again, but with them, this time!
