Watch the Tom Cruise Airplane Stunt Featurette for 'Rogue Nation'
"Benji! Open the door!" Paramount has debuted a new featurette focusing on the incredible airplane stunt that Tom Cruise did for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. We've all seen the footage in the trailers, and seen the photos, but this shows you some of the actual raw footage of Cruise himself strapped to the frickin' airplane while it takes off. Yes, he did this for real. This is a very short featurette that only shows the stunt and the raw footage and that's it. I mean, I want to see this purely for this stunt, but I'm curious about the rest of the movie, too. Plus it's cool to see this raw footage now (without waiting for the DVD). Enjoy!
Here's the airplane stunt featurette for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, direct from YouTube:

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation is directed by Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) and written by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) and video game scribe Will Staples. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and team (Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner) take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate – an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF. Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris and Alec Baldwin also star in the film Paramount Pictures releases on July 31st.
I dont think there has been a more prolific actor in the last twenty years, and this is just icing.

I'd feel a lot safer sitting in a room with Tom Cruise than I would with Bo that's for sure. What a narrow minded guy. Tom Cruise is one of the best actors out there. He does things other men dream of. What he does in his personal life is his business. Does he use his films to promote Scientology? No, so whats the problem?
Kevin Lee on Jul 14, 2015
That's a good point you made there...he never promotes Scientology into his pictures. It's true. The man may be a little strange in real life (who the hell isn't - let's be honest) but his movies are independent of all of that. Keep on making great movies Tom. We'll keep seeing them.

Dude...Tom Cruise is the MAN! // And once he leaves Scientology, everyone will admit it.

I really am not a supporter of Scientology but what does his affiliation has to do with anything? I never understood the hate. He can do whatever he want in his private life. I can enjoy his movies none of his antics effecting my life in anyway shape or form. Grew up with his movies and Tom is almost always great in anything he does.

Personally, I couldn't agree more, Sascha. He is a good man in every regard I have seen and read. People are just weird-ed out by his personal religion and can't get over it...

Have you ever watched a documentary about the practices of Scientology? How creepy Tom Cruise is and the organisation he represents? They won't let Travolta out the closet either.
Carpola on Jul 13, 2015
Yes he really needs to leave scientology - he is ashamed to publicly admit he is a member, he may as well let it go. It is an dangerous organization responsible for human rights abuses, forced abortions, destroying families, human trafficking, and worse. Scientology gets away with it because they say it is "religious" to do these evil things they do.
