Ip Man 3

The legend continues this January… Well Go USA has debuted the first US teaser trailer for Ip Man 3, the latest sequel in the Ip Man martial arts series starring Donnie Yen (appearing in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2) as the martial arts grandmaster Yip Man, who taught Bruce Lee. This time he comes face to face, literally, with "Iron" Mike Tyson for a fight. There isn't any dialogue in this teaser, but there is a whole crapload of kick ass action teases. The cast includes Patrick Tam, Lynn Hung, Kent Cheng and Kwok-Kwan Chan. This is worth a watch just to get a glimpse at some of the amazing martial arts action in this! If you're already a fan of this series, don't miss out on more.

Here's the first official US teaser trailer for Wilson Yip's Ip Man 3, direct from Well Go USA's YouTube:

Donnie Yen ignites the screen in a return to the role that made him an icon - as Ip Man, the real-life Wing Chun grandmaster who mentored Bruce Lee. In this explosive third installment of the blockbuster martial arts series, when a band of brutal gangsters led by a crooked property developer (Mike Tyson) make a play to take over the city, Master Ip is forced to take a stand. Fists will fly as some of the most incredible fight scenes ever filmed play out on the big screen in this soon-to-be genre classic. Ip Man 3 is directed by veteran filmmaker Wilson Yip, of Ip Man and Ip Man 2, as well as Flash Point, SPL: Kill Zone, Dragon Tiger Gate and Bullets Over Summer previously. Opening in theaters in China this Christmas. Then Well Go USA Entertainment will release Ip Man 3 in US theaters starting January 22nd early in 2016. Stay tuned.

I kind of wish they did not go for another boxer, but regardless it will be a fight scene to remember!

Yeah this series is the bomb. By far the best of all the Ip man takes. Obviously only based on the real life man himself but the settings, choreography and action have all been top notch.

Sweet glad this all came together since this project was in limbo for a few years. I was hoping the 3rd would focus more on the bruce lee aspect with the ending of ip man 2 but he probably was still young at this point of the story. That last scene with mike tyson looks straight out of street fighter. Barlog vs Fei long!!!

Why did I think this movie already existed? Maybe I'm thinking of Ong Bak 3....

The first one was amazing. I have most Yen movies on Bluray now. Hes also going to be in Rouge one, the new Star wars spin off. Excited to see if they make use of his MA skills.

It was disappointing how underutilized he was in Blade 2. He was so cool in that too, in the few minutes he had.

The first one was amazing, the second tried too hard but was still fun. I am excited for this.
