Legend UK Trailer

"A shoot out, right, is a shoot out! Like a western!" StudioCanal UK has debuted a brand new UK trailer for Brian Helgeland's Legend, starring Tom Hardy (twice!) as the Kray Brothers, two of London's most notorious gangster criminals. We've featured a couple of different trailers before, but I'm fine with another one because this looks so damn good, and Tom Hardy is always at the top of his game. Especially playing against himself, like he often is in this movie. The cast includes Taron Egerton, Emily Browning, Colin Morgan, Christopher Eccleston & David Thewlis. I'm very much looking forward to this even though the trailer gets a bit choppy in the second half. I've got a good feeling Brian Helgeland has made another hit.

Here's the newest UK trailer for Brian Helgeland's Legend, originally from StudioCanal UK:

From Academy Award winner Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, Mystic River) comes the true story of the rise and fall of London’s most notorious gangsters, Reggie and Ron Kray, both portrayed by Tom Hardy in an amazing double performance. Legend is a classic crime thriller taking us into the secret history of the 1960s and the extraordinary events that secured the infamy of the Kray twins. Written and directed by Brian Helgeland, the StudioCanal, Working Title and Cross Creek film co-stars Emily Browning, David Thewlis, Christopher Eccleston, Chazz Palminteri, Tara Fitzgerald and Taron Egerton. Universal will release Helgeland's Legend in US theaters starting October 2nd in the fall. Visit the official website. Interested?

In my opinion, Hardy is the best to come along in a long, long time. He is the real deal and any film he's in is worth a look. It takes a lot to excite me about movies today, but I'm excited to see the work Hardy does here playing two different characters. Already, by this trailer, I could see the choices he's made and the differences in the two brothers. Should really be something. The rest just depends on how good a script and story it is and how well directed. The rest of the cast is also top notch. Thanks for this, Alex.
