T2: Trainspotting Trailer

"Choose the ones you love. Choose your future." They're back! Sony has revealed the first full-length trailer for T2: Trainspotting 2, Danny Boyle's sequel to his 1996 cult hit film Trainspotting. The first teaser debuted during the summer and didn't show much, now we finally get a good look at the story and where these friends are in their life. The four main guys are back: Ewan McGregor as Renton, Ewen Bremner as Spud, Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy, and Robert Carlyle as Begbie. The full cast also includes Kelly Macdonald, author Irvine Welsh, Simon Weir and Karl Argue. This actually looks like a totally wild follow-up to the original, based on the book Porno by Irvine Welsh, with even more drug-fueled craziness.

A continuation of the Trainspotting saga reuniting the original characters. Discussing the sequel back in 2013, Danny Boyle stated: "This has been a long time coming. There's always been this long term plan for Trainspotting 2… The reason for doing it again is that people cherish the original, people remember it or have caught up with it if they never saw because they were younger. So you want to make sure you don't disappoint people." The sequel is based on the book Porno by Irvine Welsh, featuring a screenplay by John Hodge. "It's not about trying to cash in on the original. It lives in the shadow of the original to a degree but in a really interesting way…" T2: Trainspotting 2 is directed by Danny Boyle, of the original Trainspotting in 1996. It's scheduled to open in the UK in late January, then in US theaters starting on March 3rd, 2017.

Spud seems to die about 4 times in the trailer, hope he makes it.

Yeah, I'm worried about Spud, too...

If you like Ewan McGregor, check out Our kind of traitor. It's not for people who prefer action over acting though.

Hey tarek! So, you are saying that Our kind of traitor is ok? I saw mixed reviews ...

Indeed. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It had a kind of a history of violence vibe. But the heroism is more moral than physical.

Looks pretty fucken ace, man. We just might get that rare thing... a sequel worthy of the original (or nearly so), something like Before Sunset.

Nice, looks every bit as entertaining and bizarre as the first one. Damn its been a long time since I've watched that.

This looks refreshingly good for a sequel we never asked for. I think I'm in.
