First Teaser Trailer for Jeremy Saulnier's Violent Thriller 'Green Room'
"I hope you appreciate the situation…" The perfect tease. Empire has unveiled this first UK teaser trailer for Jeremy Saulnier's Green Room, the latest from the filmmaker behind the cult hit Blue Ruin. In this film, Anton Yelchin and Alia Shawkat play two members of punk rock band that find themselves trapped in a secluded venue, fighting for their lives against a gang of violent white power skinheads, the leader played by Patrick Stewart. Also starring Imogen Poots, Mark Webber, Callum Turner & Macon Blair. I'm very excited to see it myself. We ran two reviews from festivals last year, with Jeremy (from Fantastic Fest) calling it "as smart as it is thrilling, just as rough as it is comical" but still "brutally violent". Watch below.
Here's the first official teaser trailer for Jeremy Saulnier's Green Room, direct from Empire's YouTube:
Green Room is written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier (of the indie thriller Blue Ruin). Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots (both of Fright Night) play a young punk rock band who find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon a horrific act of violence, fighting for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads. Patrick Stewart also stars as Darcy Banker, the unflinching and industrial leader of a ferocious white supremacist fiefdom based in the Pacific Northwest. Alia Shawkat, Mark Webber and Macon Blair also star in the film. After first premiering at the Cannes Film Festival and Toronto Intl. Film Festival (Marco's review), A24 will release Green Room in US theaters starting April 15th, 2016 this spring. In?

Anton Yelchin is getting better and better in choosing his roles. And experience of Blue Ruin didn't hurt. Put together, oh yeah, this might be good ...

I remember looking into this title a year ago, but it took so long to come out I'll probably wait for the streaming release at this point.
