Ghostbusters Trailer Teaser

"Who you gunna call?!" These teasers for trailers really suck. We have stopped posting them but are making an exception this one time just because the actual trailer won't hit until March - a few weeks away. Sony has debuted a very brief teaser trailer for Paul Feig's Ghostbusters, the upcoming reboot of the supernatural comedy franchise. This barely shows any footage and doesn't show any of the main characters or anything else - but it does have a good shot of the new logo! That's about it. This stars: Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, and Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, plus Chris Hemsworth as Kevin. We'll keep an eye out for more updates before the trailer arrives.

Here's the official teaser for the trailer for Paul Feig's Ghostbusters, direct from Sony's YouTube:

The upcoming Ghostbusters movie, directed by Paul Feig, will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the new Ghostbusters. Reportedly, the villain will be a "creepy mechanical genius". Chris Hemsworth also stars as the receptionist. There's also the role of Martin Heiss, a professional debunker of the supernatural who tries to disprove the antics of the Ghostbusters after some videos of theirs go viral. The project is currently filming, with Paul Feig posting updates on Twitter - follow him @paulfeig. Sony Pictures will release this brand new Ghostbusters movie, directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay by Katie Dippold and Paul Feig, in theaters everywhere starting July 22nd, 2016 this summer.

No. Please. No.

What a joke. Are they afraid of the backlash or something? NO footage of the new crew and only a few months till its released

They did they wrong. When the logo flashed, the actual song is supposed to play. You know, to get SOME hype.

Lar Rackell on Feb 14, 2016

A teaser for a trailer. Its gotta be the most dumbest thing in movie world.

Sascha Dikiciyan on Feb 14, 2016

I am afraid it's even worse; looks more like an announcement of a teaser. That teaser will tease the trailer and the trailer will tease the movie. And the movie will suck.

Nash on Feb 15, 2016

I agree. This BS needs to stop NOW! Just show the friggin thing! If anything it's kind of an "anti-hype" engine!

A friendly reminder that Sony used Harold Ramis passing to greenlit this movie.

Hurry up with the trailer already so someone really original can make a lego version... or take the audio and overlay with the original. *rolls eyes*

Remember when this idea was first announced and some people thought the angry backlash was about casting females in male roles? I'm guessing those people are going to feel real dumb soon.

I don't know, Kristen Wiig might be B. Murray in this. Just saying...

The people saying this ruins their childhood are sad. Your childhood is over, it's a new generations. You still have your memories, you still have the original one, nobody is making you see this. If having a single movie re-made with women cast as the leads is going to ruin your childhood, then please reevaluate you entire life.

I don't think having the main characters as women is the problem. The problem the studio wants fans to be into this, but it's reboot... that has nothing to do with the other movies... For some reason unknown they have all the same technology and logo even... That's why I'm not buying it. Nothing sexist at all, just stop with that.

A theory I have that explains them having similar tech is that this movie will take place in the real world where Ghostbusters is a movie and this new team is inspired by 'Ghostbusters' to create actual working versions of the tech, hence why everything we have seen looks like home brewed cosplay get ups like the car and the proton packs and whatnot. If this is the case and the original cast show up in cameos as themselves...I could maybe get behind this... I REALLY want to be happy about this movie...and like you, my problem with it has nothing to do with the cast being women. I actually think Kate McKinnon will be the best part of this film!

That's a great story line. Lets write something together!

I can't STAND Melissa McCarthy.
