Recap of 2016 Nominees

"I love that you don't care how much money a person makes, you care what what they make." It's finally Oscar Week! Get your Oscar pools ready. Despite the arguments, debates, and discussion about who didn't get nominated, the selection of Academy Award nominees for 2016 is impressive. The Best Picture nominees are a great mix of some of the best films from last year: The Big Short, Bridge of Spies, Brooklyn, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian, The Revenant, Room, and Spotlight. Our friend the "SleepySkunk" has whipped up this new supercut recap of the 2016 nominees to get you in the mood for the big show on Sunday. Enjoy!

Update! Added yet another Oscar nominee video right below - this one is by Tomas Medero on Vimeo:

From SleepySkunk on YouTube, made for Cineplex. Description: "Let’s celebrate the Oscars with a supercut of all of 2016's nominated films. In this video, there are inevitable winners, fan favourites, and surprise inclusions. Congratulations to all the nominees, and good luck in February!" This is yet another excellent supercut from "SleepySkunk", featuring most of this year's nominees. For the complete list of 2016 Academy Awards nominations, click here. The 88th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 28th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with a live telecast airing in the evening. Which nominees are your favorites?

with all the stupid political bs attacking the oscars this year I'm bowing out of the broadcast, I'll come here and read the updates. I'm hoping for Mad Max to take best pic.

I'm not a fan of the Oscars, but I'm a huge fan of movies (obviously)....I hope The Revenant doesn't win best picture. Bridge of Spies was better than The Revenant and Mad Max combined....probably my fave this year.

Of the films nominated, BROOKLYN was the only one that made me feel happy. Still though, I really hope THE REVENANT will win big.
