Hardcore Henry Trailer

"You're capable of more than you think!" This looks so awesome!! STX Entertainment has unveiled a new trailer for Ilya Naishuller's Hardcore Henry, originally titled just Hardcore, which played to rave reviews at midnight at TIFF last year (read Marco's review). The POV action film stars you, as Henry, suddenly waking up in the middle of crazy situation that turns into a gunfight. From there they go all out with cars and explosions and grenades and more. Featuring Haley Bennett, Sharlto Copley, Danila Kozlovsky and Cyrus Arnold. For more info, visit the official website. This looks totally, insanely awesome in the best way possible, unbelievable action that makes you go "wow". Looking forward to seeing this when it opens.

Here's the new full-length trailer (+ poster) for Ilya Naishuller's Hardcore Henry, direct from YouTube:

Hardcore Henry

Strap in. Hardcore Henry is one of the most unflinchingly original wild-rides to hit the big screen in a long time: You remember nothing. Mainly because you've just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who's got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky); he's a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You're also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You're likely going to need it… Hardcore is directed by Russian filmmaker Ilya Naishuller, of the "Biting Elbows" action shorts, presented by Timur Bekmambetov. This first premiered in Midnight Madness at TIFF last year. STX will release Hardcore Henry in theaters on April 8th this year.

HAhah WTF did I just see??? Insane. Love the idea but 2 hours of that FPS point of view will kill it for me. Motion sickness syndrome here unless the FOV (PC gamers will get this) is at least 90. 🙂

Every first person shooter gamer have been waiting for a film like this, I may not speak for all of them, but this movie has a great choreography to it, agreed, maybe seeing this on a 50ft screen might not be the best, but a at home viewing is worthy of the 90 minutes.

I agree, I love the concept and it looks like good fun. But I'm not sure 90-120 minutes in a theater watching this won't drive me psychotic LOL. At least at home I can pause it and take a break 🙂

I suspect that this was made with VR in mind. It will be amazing on the Oculus or Vive.

That looked like Tim Roth....was it rather Sharlto Copley?

Joker's hideout on Feb 11, 2016

Just Sharlto in a weird angle.. that looked like Tim.

shane willett on Feb 11, 2016

There's no way that's not Tim, However I don't know why he's not listed in the credits.

Danimal on Feb 11, 2016

Yeah it's odd, I thought the same thing. But who knows, he could have been in the area when filming and director through him in the movie. But as far as IMDB, it has cast and crew listed, he is not.

shane willett on Feb 11, 2016

It is definitely Tim Roth

Best action movie trailer ever. Ever!

Come on, Henry, she's nor worth it all that ...

shiboleth on Feb 11, 2016

dude the right woman is worth anything. Methinks Henry is just a blood thirsty good guy psychopath.

Xerxexx on Feb 11, 2016

Which is saying my thoughts in another words. I just tried to be a bit sarcastic since I liked it that way ...

shiboleth on Feb 12, 2016

haha I figured you were

Xerxexx on Feb 12, 2016

I'm in for sure. That poster alone has sold me. Also the title is just perfect. "Hardcore Henry" it just flows.

Xerxexx on Feb 11, 2016

You know, I gotta admit this is like a first-person shooter come to life--even the title reads like one you would give a video game.

Pure 80's/Gaming titles slay me

Xerxexx on Feb 15, 2016

Now, I get why they used a wide-angle GoPro style camera, so that more can be visually seen, but it makes for a rather unnatural view the way human eyes work. I think that's the biggest issue I have with how it's presented, otherwise it looks quite fun.

YAY.....Remo Williams 2016.....NOICE!!!
