"Human lives are at stake, I just want to know that I'm on the right side." Sony has unveiled another full trailer for the new Dan Brown adaptation Inferno, once again directed by Ron Howard, and once again starring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. We featured the first trailer a few months ago, but that one was just a teaser, and this sets up more of the story - a thriller taking place in historic cities like Florence and Istanbul. The cast includes Felicity Jones as Dr. Sienna Brooks, Langdon's beautiful sidekick this time, plus Ben Foster, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ana Ularu, Ida Darvish. I kind of do want to see this, I just hope it's a bit better than the last Dan Brown movie. We'll find out later this year.
Here's the latest official trailer for Ron Howard's Inferno adaptation, direct from Sony's YouTube:
In addition - here's an alternate international version of the trailer for Inferno, also found on YouTube:
You can still see the first two trailers (domestic + international) for Inferno here, to compare footage.
Academy Award-winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest bestseller in Dan Brown's (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series, Inferno, which finds the famous symbologist (again played by Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot. Inferno is once again directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Ron Howard, of the two previous Dan Brown adaptations (The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons) plus In the Heart of the Sea, Apollo 13, Willow, Cinderella Man, Frost/Nixon and many other films. The screenplay is written by David Koepp, adapting from Dan Brown's novel. Sony will release Inferno in theaters everywhere starting October 28th this fall.

Totally agree, they are the real stars and mystery so much begging to be solved. How Tom H. can't see this?

I was sold on the first 2 movies, because the plots were simpler and the mystery-solving using biblical clues was more in focus than action. This one, I am not sold on. It looks like they did a cheesey action movie with yet another "deadly virus gonna wipe out humanity" plot mixed with a little bit of "amnesia/lost time mystery" plot that loosely revolves around a biblical theme.

Still pissed of that Tom hanks plays the key role in Dan Brown his novel's. He just looks to stupid for a professor. But what Tom wants Tom gets because he is bringing in the bucks.

I've enjoyed all of Dan Brown's books (including Inferno), and the two movies they've made so far have been pretty good. I'll watch this for sure.

Hanks has always felt stiff to me in these Dan Brown films. I'm sure I'll see it anyway.
