Nicholas Hoult & Felicity Jones in Trailer for Action Thriller 'Collide'
"Is it dangerous?" "What kind of question is that?!" Open Road Films has unveiled the first trailer for the action thriller Collide, starring Nicholas Hoult and Felicity Jones. This isn't the same as that sci-fi film Collider, instead it's a rather generic-looking action movie with a stellar cast. Besides Hoult & Jones, the cast includes Anthony Hopkins (as a mob boss) and Ben Kingsley (looking wacko), plus Nadia Hilker and Clemens Schick. The story is about an American backpacker caught up in a drug smuggling ring while trying to pull off a heist, taking him "on the run from his employers across Munich's high-speed Autobahn." If that doesn't interest you, I'm not sure what else will. This does look like it may be entertaining. Fire it up.
Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Eran Creevy's Collide, originally from Yahoo:
After a heist goes terribly wrong, Casey Stein (Hoult) finds himself on the run from a ruthless gang headed by mob boss Hagen (Hopkins). Now Casey has precious cargo that belongs to Hagen, who will stop at nothing to retrieve it. Left with no choice, Casey calls his former employer and drug smuggler Geran (Kingsley) to protect his long-time girlfriend Juliette before Hagen gets his hands on her. Casey sets out on an adrenaline-fueled car chase on the German highways to save the love of his life before it’s too late. Collide is both written and directed by English filmmaker Eran Creevy, of the films Welcome to the Punch and Shifty previously. The screenplay is also credited to F. Scott Frazier in addition to Creevy. Open Road Films will release Collide in select theaters starting on August 19th later this summer. Anyone interested?

Yea, I'm interested. Why not? I like the two young leads. They're perfectly pleasant to watch. Plus the two heavy-weights, Hopkins and Kingsley, seemingly enjoying themselves quite a bit, especially Kingsley. So, indeed, why not?

Good cast, but it looks like crap imo.

Kingsley might be the best reason to see this. I like his roles when he somehow plays something out of ordinary. Oh, does anybody remember that film 'Sexy Beast' with Ray Winstone and Ben Kinsley? Man, that was crazy role by Kingsley ...

He's amazing in Sexy Beast.

Girls always need a guy to take their hands when they run. We are very useful, we, guys.

Looks decent, Hoult was great in Mad Max and Felicity Jones is great overall. Worst part is that the trailer just gave way too much away.

Ehh, think I'm gonna pass on this.

The car chases look good, needs some better motivation and less women being treated like commerce. "You stole something of mine, so I will steal something of yours!" "How far would you go for a macguffin with tits?"

Why does everyone have a non-British accent?

Wait... isn't this in the UK? Why does he need 200,000 for a kidney transplant. I thought medical treatment was free in the UK? The plot already falls apart, and the movie isn't even out yet. WTF is this crap.
