Looks like we're getting another Christopher Nolan prologue in theaters this December. Reports from TrailerTrack and SlashFilm have confirmed that there is a 7-minute prologue for Nolan's Dunkirk playing in front of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The new solo Star Wars movie opens in theaters December 16th (in just over a week), including in most IMAX theaters all over the world. The reports state that this 7-minute prologue (along with a brand new trailer) will play exclusively in IMAX, and won't end up online. This is the same as the IMAX prologue for The Dark Knight (and TDKR) which only showed in theaters in December before the film opened the next summer. I'm very excited to see this footage, whatever it may be.
Dunkirk is Christopher Nolan's latest film - a World War II cinematic epic about the Dunkirk evacuation of Allied troops from the coast of France to the UK in the middle of 1940. Parts of the film, including major action sequences, were filmed using 15 perf 65mm IMAX cameras. The second trailer will hit the web after it debuts in theaters, but the 7-minute IMAX prologue will not be online (it will be in theaters only). Dunkirk will feature over 100 minutes of IMAX material, according to sources close to the production. The first teaser trailer for Dunkirk arrived a few months ago, and didn't show that much. The next trailer is due to also play in front of Rogue One next week. Dunkirk stars Mark Rylance, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, James D'Arcy, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, Jack Lowden & Adam Long.
The film was shot on location on the actual beaches where the evacuation took place in France. Warner Bros will release Nolan's Dunkirk in theaters everywhere starting on July 21st, 2017 next summer. Stay tuned.

I don't like war movies ( save Der Untergang ) but when Nolan makes them, they become my favorite movies.

None. Why? He never made a comic book adaptation before Batman. Still... Got my point?
