The Legend of Tarzan

After playing in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, director David Yates is heading into the jungle with an updated version of Tarzan, based on the classic hero from iconic author Edgar Rice Burroughs. In The Legend of Tarzan, the story finds our titular hero (Alexander Skarsgård) removed from the jungle, acclimated to life back in London. But when his jungle home is threatened by a diabolical businessman, he's called back into action and uses all his friends in the wild to help him. In the new full length trailer, the visual effects are meant to shine, but there's something that doesn't look quite right to me. Watch below.

Here's the second official Legend of Tarzan trailer direct from Warner Bros:

Tarzan, having acclimated to life in London, is called back to his former home in the jungle to investigate the activities at a mining encampment. USA Today explains that "the movie finds John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, a decade removed from his home in the Congo and fully entrenched as a British gentleman in 1880s Victorian London, with his beloved wife Jane (Margot Robbie) by his side." The Legend of Tarzan is directed by English filmmaker David Yates, who made the leap to features with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, also directing Half-Blood Prince and both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The screenplay has credits for Stuart Beattie, Craig Brewer and Adam Cozad; adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs' story. Warner Bros releases The Legend of Tarzan starting July 1st, 2016 this summer.

Loved the old Tarzan films as a kid. This looks suitably impressive to me and thankfully no 'new twist' to the origins.

Well, at least they've polished the CGI since the last trailer. That one looked atrocious. This one is much better.

Wow, this trailer is fantastic, much better then so many other blockbuster trailers for this summer. I cant' wait to see this movie. Maybe some polishing needed in the few CGI scenes, but I see some improvement since the first trailer. Overall, visually impressive. And excellent cast, Waltz, Skarsgaard, Robbie, SLJ.

Waltz, really? well, then, at least one thing will be excellent.

It's sad when a studio post fake comments to encourage people to watch the film. Perhaps not using the same account for 50+ positive comments would help

They should keep the water buffaloes attack at ground level - that overhead shot looks totally fake because it can't be anything but fake... Great CGI work but bad cinema.

I'm so excited to see Alexander Skarsgard in this movie! I'll arrange a sleepover at the cinema, and definitely watch this movie until it'll tattooed in my brain)).

i hope they kept to ERB's version of Tarzan -- it's not only the first, it's the best. everything else is uncivilized. good to see Eric Northman again.
