'The LEGO Batman Movie' Trailer Reheats Some Lobster, Drops the Mic
Easily one of the best parts of The LEGO Movie, besides pretty much everything, was Will Arnett as LEGO Batman. The overtly dark and jerkish Batman was hilarious, and audiences apparently loved him so much that Warner Bros. Pictures and their animation group wanted to give him his own movie. The first trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie is here to show us how the building block version of the superhero lives his life when he's not fighting crime. It involves cooking lobster and lounging in a luxurious robe.
Here's the first trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie from Warner Bros. Pictures:
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: The LEGO Batman Movie. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Will Arnett is back as LEGO Batman, and Warner Bros. releases the spin-off directed by Chris McKay (Robot Chicken) and written by Seth Grahame-Smith on February 10th, 2017.

I'll be the first to say that it was a gigantic mess of a movie and WB/DC really missed it by a long shot. Was so disappointed by that movie that I am really worried about the future of the DCEU.

It was a complete mess but curiously I'm not worried about the rest of the universe

The only person looking like they will hold their own in a solo movie is Affleck/Batman. I question whether any of the others can really take command of a superhero movie. I have been proven wrong though. I enjoyed Gadot as WW but don't know if she has the acting jobs to carry an entire movie. Sorry for hijacking your thread Lego Batman which also looks very good. Was a big fan of the Lego Movie.

I'm fine with hijacking the thread. I see a lot of people saying they liked WW, and I don't get it. Almost nothing there really, a bit of action from her, a lot of it distant or out of focus or unremarkable, and to my memory a lot of her other screentime was her reacting to TV screens or monitors. I didn't even think her little conversation with Wayne was at all interesting. "You've never met a woman like me", yawn.

I guess intriguing is a better way to put it. I found the character intriguing but yes I do wonder about having her lead a movie. I thought she fit the mold fine in little bits but I do agree with you after watching Fast Five and Triple 9, her dialogue delivery is so cardboard cut out.

I have no problem with BvS. I think of it as a good movie. I think it's even better than "Dark Knight." BvS is nothing too good, but it is definitely good. I have read a lot of critics and found them to be mediocre people who can't understand that using powers can be drama. I totally like the approach. However, I also am aware of the fact that I make minority ...

It's pretty sad that this is the movie I'm most looking forward to.
