Allied Trailer

"Hey, what happened to my kiss?" Paramount has debuted a new trailer for Robert Zemeckis' latest, titled Allied, a WWII romantic thriller about the relationship between a French Resistance fighter and a British Intelligence officer. Brad Pitt stars as an officer stationed in North Africa in 1942, who falls for a resistance fighter named Marianne Beausejour. They reunite in London but the war still stands in the way. Marion Cotillard also stars, along with Lizzy Caplan, Matthew Goode, Raffey Cassidy, Charlotte Hope and Jared Harris. The first teaser from a few months ago didn't show that much, but this new trailer gives us a bit more including a huge tease at the end. I'm a sucker for WWII films, so I can't help but say I'm intrigued.

Here's the second official trailer for Robert Zemeckis' Allied, direct from Paramount's YouTube:

You can still watch the first teaser trailer for Zemeckis' Allied here, to compare footage from these.

Allied is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war. Allied is directed by veteran filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, of many films including Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Contact, Cast Away, Forrest Gump, The Polar Express, Beowulf, Flight, and The Walk most recently. The screenplay is written by Oscar nominated writer Steven Knight. Paramount Pictures will release Zemeckis' Allied in theaters everywhere starting November 23rd, Thanksgiving week, this fall. How does that look?

Some old fashioned spy drama. Although I'm getting tired of WWII stories, I might be interesting to see M. Cotillard in this.
