"Don't open that door!!" Paramount has unveiled another trailer for Dan Trachtenberg's 10 Cloverfield Lane, better known as Valencia, which has nothing to do with Cloverfield but was given a Cloverfield title just so they could market it. This doesn't show anything more that we haven't seen in the first trailer, but it is cool to see. Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as a woman who wakes up in an underground bunker after a car accident, but doesn't know what's out there or why she's stuck there. She's joined by John Goodman and John Gallagher Jr., and most of the film takes place in the bunker with these three. At least they're kind of admitting there might not be a Cloverfield monster outside saying: Monsters come in many forms.
Here's the newest trailer for Dan Trachtenberg's 10 Cloverfield Lane, found directly on YouTube:
You can also still watch the first trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane here, as well as the Super Bowl TV spot.
The original description for Valencia: "The majority of the movie takes place in an underground cellar, and revolves around a young woman who wakes up in the cellar after a severe car accident and fears she has been abducted. Her captor, a doomsday prepper, tells her he saved her life and that there has been a terrible chemical attack that has left the outside uninhabitable. She does not know what to believe and as tensions rise, she decides she must escape, regardless of the terrors that await outside." 10 Cloverfield Lane, formerly known as Valencia, is the feature directing debut of Dan Trachtenberg, who made the Portal: No Escape short previously. The screenplay is by Josh Campell & Matt Stuecken and Damien Chazelle (of Whiplash). Paramount will release 10 Cloverfield Lane in theaters starting March 11th coming up. What do you think?

I'm actually pumped to see this, and I'm loving that it's out so soon.

That's the amazing part. They kept the development of this film as well as its name hidden for a long time. J.J. Abrams is a master at Hollywood secrecy it seems. So excited!

Man, I hope this one has more creatures like the "parasites" from Cloverfield. Really anxious to find out why she had that scared/shocked look on her face when she gazed out the window.

I don't know, it reminds me of The Divide, its like JJ is using it for inspiration.

The Divide was weird all over. Ventimiglia and Ecklund didn't really work in my opinion... Trying too hard, you know? But I can totally see the similarities.

"Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as a woman who wakes up in an underground bunker after a car accident, but doesn't know what's out there or why she's stuck there." So, it's the opposite of Misery... (for me at least 😉 )

What worries me is a short trailer. Too much of underground story...

I am very curious about this. I like the strange casting choices, one wouldn't expect Winstead and Goodman to be in a Cabin Fever type of story but I'm looking forward to see Goodman's menacing side and maybe some more range for her (every time I see her I still think "Scott Pilgrim!"). Also I was sold on the idea of Cloverfield when it came out ay back in 2008, fresh argument, fresh delivery, all "beginners" cast. I think the story is great and defo deserves a continuation. I wonder if we'll get any info on what went down after the NYC big badaboom though. So all in all... EXCITED!
